UNIJIA Welcome Party 2024

Welcome Party | UNIJIA 2024

UNIJIA International Student Residence has been with you for 9 years, hosting more than 10,000 young people from more than 190 countries and regions around the world, who have left wonderful memories in UNIJIA. Time flies, but our desire and pursuit of a better life remains the same.

In the fall of 2024 we again welcome outstanding international youth from all over the world to study in China, and we hope to help you gain a deeper understanding and experience of China's outstanding culture, ideas, economy and way of life through various ways. We believe that this will help promote exchanges and understanding among different cultures, enhance friendship and cooperation among countries, and also provide richer and more diversified learning and practicing opportunities for the growth and development of international youth.

This time, the UNIJIA International Youth Community welcomed the Fall 2024 Orientation, and we were honored to have Lyndon Poon Jingyu, who has become a close and dear friend of our community since she moved to UNIJIA in 2018, as well as our new friend Bianca Chen Haini, who is new to UNIJIA this year, as the hosts of this event. ‍‍‍‍

First of all, Officer Zhao Xin and Officer Wu Jiamin from Hongkou District Exit-Entry Administration Office shared with us some important regulations and laws that international students need to pay attention to when studying and living in China, as well as some very useful knowledge points such as internet security and anti-fraud. All of us were deeply attracted by the vivid and interesting explanations, and we believe that they will benefit a lot and bring great help to our life and study in China afterward. ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍

Then, Shelly Tang Shiyu, representative of Bank of China Dabashi Sub-branch, shared with us about payment security and payment convenience.

Then, Ms. Layla and Ms. Sarah from UNIJIA's Operations Department introduced us to UNIJIA's International Youth Community, the themes of Diversity and Cultural Experience, International Youth Development, Public Welfare and Environmental Protection and Sustainability, and the plans for the second half of the year's activities, inviting international students and friends to participate in the community management of the practical program together, helping the community to bring a better living experience for everyone, integrating into the Local life, ‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍‍ love your city and friends who have a connection with each other.

Last but not least, to celebrate the upcoming Mid-Autumn Festival, we arranged a special Mid-Autumn Fan Painting activity. This activity was led by Mr. Xu Feng, director of the Shanghai Calligraphers Association, who led us to write and draw our own Mid-Autumn Festival fans.
Calligraphy, as a treasure of Chinese culture, has a long history and rich forms of expression. From oracle bone script and gold script to regular script and running script, each typeface carries deep historical and cultural significance. Calligraphy is not only the writing of words, but also an artistic expression, which shows the beauty and artistry of words through the use of pen and ink.

This activity was unanimously liked by everyone, deeply attracted by its unique artistic charm and deep cultural connotation. And immediately participated in the learning process with great interest.

Come and take a look at everyone's display works, everyone learns very seriously, full of harvest.

We have also prepared lucky draws and various meals with Chinese characteristics, which made the whole sharing activity full of joy and surprises!

At this moment, UNIJIA is ready to lead the international youth around the world to bring you more and more in-depth experience of China under the themes of youth development, multicultural integration, public welfare and environmental protection and sustainable development!
